For those who weren't there, in December 2000, Playtrek started it's first annual drive to send gifts to a Star Trek personality for the Christmas holiday as a way of saying "thank you" for all the years of fun that they've brought us.  Our first honoree, if you haven't figured it out yet, was James "Scotty" Doohan.

Thanks go to Kelly Hoffman, Playtrek author and perpetual slacker, for her part in gathering the cards and gifts and getting them to Doohan.  Below is Doohan's note to her, to say "thanks" for the well wishes...

Kelly:  Thank you for forwarding the special Scotty doll, which arrived safely.  Also, thank you for collecting all the lovely holiday wishes and forwarding them to me.  It's always nice to hear from fans.
