CAPTAIN
SISKO in NEW STARFLEET UNFORM
PARTS
NEEDED:
Captain
Sisko or TnT Sisko (head
FC
"Target" Picard (body, legs, arms) |
HOW
TO:
Remove
the heads and arms from both figures using the boil and pop method. Once
the head and arms are removed from both figures, "pop" apart the bodies.
Take the Picard arms and cut off his hands at the sleeves. Next, cut Siskos
hands off about 1cm ABOVE the sleeve. Use a drill bit and drill a small
hole in Picards sleeve. (Use a drill bit NO bigger than 1/8) Drill the
hole no more than 1cm down. Now, cut a "peg" that will fit inside the holes
you've made on Picards sleeves using Siskos hands. (This is why you need
to cut his hands off about a 1cm into his arm). Make sure his hands are
flush with Picards sleevs, you may have to trim some of the "peg" you just
made. Once you're sure it fits, use a dab of Krazy Glue and put in in Picards
sleeve hole. insert Siskos hands on the proper sides, and let it dry. (Should
take about 10 seconds!) Next, insert Siskos head into Picards neck joint.
Attach the arms and legs in the body and apply a small amount of Super
Glue alone the inside seam of the two upper torso parts, be careful not
to get any on the moving parts, and press together. IF you do happen to
get glue on the joints, start rotaing them immediately! This should make
the glue harded around the edges instead of the seams. |
PAINTING:
Basically, theres no
painting to be done for this custom. However, if you wish to paint Picards
hands to match Sisko instead of cutting them off, then I suggest mixing
some acrylic paints to match the color perfectly. Use the spare Sisko hands
from the other figure to match the paint sceme. Be sure to do at least
2 coats. |
